Visiting Sa Pa, tourists will have the opportunity to participate in various traditional costume-making processes and try on the traditional ethnic outfits of Sa Pa

According to the plan, the festival will feature several highlight activities, including:

Opening Ceremony of the Autumn Festival celebrates the 1st Congress of the Sa Pa Ward Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, accompanied by the art performance program to take place at 8 p.m on August 10, 2025, at San Quan, Sa Pa ward.

Art Performance commemorates the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), to be held at 8 p.m on August 31, 2025, at San Quan, Sa Pa Ward.

Flag Raising Ceremonies will take place on August 19, August 23, August 24, August 25, and September 1, 2025, at the Flagpole Platform on the summit of Fansipan.

The cultural and artistic activities to be held promise to be diverse, vibrant, and rich in local identity. Highlights include: The fashion show “Dance of Brocade”; Highland Cultural Experience and Sa Pa Love Market, offering hands-on activities such as: Indigo dyeing and fabric pattern printing; Sewing and embroidering traditional brocade; Trying on traditional ethnic costumes of Sa Pa; Folk art and cultural performances; Traditional games and food experiences like sticky rice making, pounding Day cake, bamboo-tube rice; Festival on Ham Rong Mountain National Landmark will feature: two mountain climbing competitions; traditional craft demonstrations; ethnic costume displays; tasting traditional dishes of ethnic minorities; “Heritage in the land of Clouds” display; traditional house experience space, will recreate and honor the unique cultural values of the ethnic communities living in Sa Pa area.

Scheduled art performances and cultural exchanges include: Khen dance, Then singing, campfires, bamboo pole dancing, Xoe dance; reenactment of the Red Dao wedding ceremony and the traditional Sa Pa love market. Photo exhibition themed “Sa Pa: Then and Now – Integration and Development”; Exhibition and promotion of Sa Pa’s OCOP products, handicrafts, local specialties, and traditional cuisine…

Sa Pa Autumn Festival, held annually, contributes to raising awareness and responsibility among locals and tourists in preserving ethnic cultural identity and the natural environment. It spreads humanistic values, promotes community-based and adventure tourism, and enhances the image of Sa Pa as a friendly, culturally rich, and attractive destination on the international tourism map.
