Tourist Attractions in Sa Pa
Thác Bạc – Silver Waterfall
Silver Waterfall is 12km away Sa Pa town centre. It is located near the
national road that has increased the convenience of travelling for the
tourists. This place is endowed with the picturesque scence of mountainous area
with many birds beautifully singing. Additionally, water rushes down from the
ravine of hundreds of meters in height, creating white foam like bunches of
flowers blooming. All those beautiful images have brought Silver Waterfall its
great fame. Coming to see Silver Waterfall, tourists seem to get lost in
another world, being relaxed by deeply lying down at the bottom of the cool stream
or talking freely to friends under the shadows of green trees.
Ruộng bậc thang Sa Pa – Terraced Fields
The Travel&Leisure magazine describes the beatiful landscape of terraced fields in Sa Pa as the ladders climbing into the sky. The terraced fields in Lao Cai have existed for hundreds of years and have been built by the talented groups of local people such as : Dao, Mong, Ha Nhi, Giay, Tay, Xa Pho…down the generations. Those winding terraced fields closely embrace the mountain ridge in succession and in overlap to form a beatiful picture in the vast and majestic space of heaven and earth, natural highland border.
Bãi Đá cổ Sa Pa – Sa Pa Old Carved Stones Area :
The old carved stones area is a mysterious landscape of Sa Pa with many
rich and strange inscriptions surrounded by the majestic mountain ranges. The
first area of old carved stones is next to Pho village – a Mong’s village
located on the side of mountain and close to main road – stretching down the
spring’s bed. The second area is adjacent to two communes of Hau Thao and Lao
Chai. It is a large carved stones area with over 100 stones carvings of various
types of unique pictures. On these rocks, the drawings depict natural scenes
which are close to people, the villages surrounded by paddy fields, houses,
animals and home tools such as corn mills, plow.
Núi Phansipan – Fansipan peak
Fansipan is the highest peak in Hoang Lien Son Mountain with a height of
3,143m. It is a gigantic natural museum that contains a vegetation with many characteristic
species. Climbing Fansipan mountain is a challenge for many young people who
love adventure with a passion to be able to stand on the roof of Indochina and
to see for themselves the scenary of wind and clouds merging with majestic
forest trees.
Nhà thờ đá Sa Pa – Sa Pa Church
The vestiges of French architecture can be seen
clearly in Sa Pa Church. It is in a prime location with Ham Rong mountain
behind it and a large are of flat ground in front. This Church is situated in
the middle of Sa Pa town centre. In front is
a large stadium, where ethnic people often gather to buy, sell and exchange
goods daily. In addition, there is a love market opened there that is full of
ethnic culture and mountainous breath.
