Sa Pa bustles with the Summer Festival 2026 – An attractive destination of Northwest tourism
LCP - In the summer of 2026, Sa Pa continues to affirm its appeal as a leading tourist destination in Vietnam’s Northwest with a series of distinctive cultural and tourism events running from April to September. The activities are diverse, harmoniously blending tradition and modernity, promising visitors memorable experiences.

The Mẫu Thượng Temple Festival takes place over two days, from April 18 to 19, marking the opening of Sa Pa’s summer cultural–tourism season.

Following this, the Summer Festival opening program will be held on the evening of April 29 at the central square of Sa Pa Ward, launching a vibrant series of events with a special art performance featuring many renowned artists and singers. A highlight of the opening night will be a dazzling fireworks display, creating a lively and impressive festive atmosphere and officially kicking off Sa Pa’s colorful tourism summer in 2026.

A major highlight is the Fansipan Rose Festival, taking place from April 25 to May 3 at Sun World Fansipan Legend, featuring a vibrant floral space, flower parades, and special artistic performances. At the same time, visitors can enjoy the brocade fashion show “Gấm hoa hội tụ” on the evening of April 30, honoring the beauty of traditional Northwest costumes through a modern perspective.

During the holiday from April 30 to May 1, many attractive activities will be held continuously, including a cultural performance celebrating International Workers’ Day (May 1) at the central square of Sa Pa Ward, and the event “Hàm Rồng – Four Seasons of Flowers” at Hàm Rồng Ecotourism Area. Here, visitors can admire hundreds of flower species and participate in experiences such as mountain climbing competitions, farming activities, and exploring local cuisine.

May continues the excitement with the Brocade Festival & Brocade Fashion Show, celebrating ethnic cultural values through collections that combine tradition with modern fashion trends. In June, the “Sa Pa – Heritage in the Mist” Week offers a unique experiential space where visitors can take part in indigo dyeing, batik (wax-resist) painting, herbal bath making, and traditional weaving alongside local artisans.

Notably, in September 2026, the sculpture camp and creative art program “Sa Pa – Preserving Identity” will be held to conserve, recreate, and promote the distinctive cultural identity of Sa Pa’s ethnic minorities (H’Mông, Dao, Tày, Giáy, etc.) through sculpture and artistic creations. The event will gather artists and artisans from both Vietnam and abroad, contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values through contemporary art.
