Y Tý Commune Police promptly assist foreign tourist injured at night
LCP - Thanks to the timely assistance of Y Tý Commune Police, a foreign tourist who was involved in a traffic accident was quickly taken for emergency treatment at Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 2 during the night.

At 9:50 p.m. on April 18, 2026, Y Tý Commune Police (Lao Cai Province) received a report from local residents about a tourist who had been involved in a traffic accident on the road in Sín Chải village under conditions of rain and dense fog. The police promptly dispatched officers to the scene to verify the situation and implement support measures.

The victim is ALBERT, born in 1993 from Spain, who was traveling alone in Y Tý. Due to the darkness, rain, winding and slippery mountain roads, and limited visibility, ALBERT lost control of his vehicle and fell, suffering a fractured left clavicle and multiple abrasions, leaving him unable to move on his own.

Mr. ALBERT was transported by Y Tý Commune Police to Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 2 for treatment during the night of April 18, 2026.

The commune police administered first aid and quickly transported the victim to the commune health station for timely medical attention.

Given the urgent need for specialized treatment, at 10:30 p.m. the same day, Y Tý Commune Police organized transportation for the victim over a nearly 100-kilometer journey to Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 2 for emergency care, despite dangerous conditions including nighttime travel, heavy rain, dense fog, and slippery roads.

After more than three hours of continuous travel, the victim arrived at the hospital for in-depth examination. Subsequently, authorities assisted him in traveling to Hanoi for further treatment as requested.

After receiving timely assistance from local residents and Y Tý Commune Police, on April 19, 2026, ALBERT shared: “When I had the accident, the police stayed by my side the whole time and helped me a lot. Thank you very much for everything. This may not have been the best experience, but I met the most wonderful people.”
