The President commended and congratulated the achievements of the Party Organization, authorities, armed forces and people of Lao Cai province in recent years. He highly appreciated the province’s development following its reorganization, noting that in 2025, Lao Cai ranked 17th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide in economic growth and second in the Northern midland and mountainous region. Cultural, healthcare and educational sectors have continued to receive attention with positive outcomes; social security has been ensured; ethnic cultural identities preserved; people’s living standards improved; and poverty reduction has achieved significant results.

President Luong Cuong emphasized that 2026 is a particularly important year, marking the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Congress. Achieving the set targets requires strong determination, unity and concerted efforts to overcome challenges.
