Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee receives and works with delegation of Nippon Zoki Group (Japan)
LCP - On the morning of 16 April 2026, Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc, Standing Vice Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People’s Committee, received and held a working session with a delegation from Nippon Zoki Group of Japan.
The delegation was led by Mr. Fujimoto Masato, Vice President of Nippon Zoki Pharmaceutical Group, who also serves as Chairman of Nippon Zoki Vietnam Co., Ltd., Konishi Vietnam Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Nippon Bio Nutrition Joint Stock Company.
The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant provincial departments, agencies, and units, along with members of the delegation.

Overview of the reception
At the reception, Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc extended a warm welcome to the delegation and provided an overview of Lao Cai Province’s natural conditions, as well as its potential and advantages for socio-economic development.
He noted that Lao Cai Province currently hosts one foreign direct investment (FDI) project by Nippon Zoki Vietnam Co., Ltd., which has been granted an Investment Policy Decision/Investment Registration Certificate and is under implementation, with a total registered capital of USD 78.6 million (approximately VND 1,700 billion). The project, titled “High-tech rabbit breeding and processing,” is located in Thuong Bang La commune, Van Chan district, Yen Bai province (now Thuong Bang La commune, Lao Cai province), and has created employment for 115 local workers. He also highlighted the development of the province’s cinnamon and spice sector, noting that Lao Cai currently has 56 OCOP-certified products derived from medicinal herbs and spices (including 44 three-star and 12 four-star products).

During the working session, both sides exchanged views on the implementation status of the Company’s investment project in Lao Cai province and discussed proposals to expand investment in agricultural and spice processing for export. The province agreed in principle to introduce a site at Lot CN.09, Bac Van Yen Industrial Cluster for the Nippon Zoki Group to study and survey for potential investment in spice processing and mushroom cultivation projects. Relevant authorities were assigned to provide guidance and support to the investor during the survey and investment exploration process. Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc also tasked provincial departments and agencies to coordinate closely with Nippon Zoki Group to expedite project implementation.

Mr. Fujimoto Masato expressed his appreciation for the attention and favorable conditions extended by Lao Cai Province to the Company’s investment research activities in recent years. He emphasized that Nippon Zoki Vietnam Co., Ltd. is a foreign-invested enterprise under Nippon Zoki Pharmaceutical Group of Japan. With a view to strengthening cooperation and expanding investment activities in Lao Cai, he expressed the Group’s interest in further investment, particularly in areas aligned with the province’s strengths, such as agricultural and spice processing for export.
