Lao Cai Youth Union launches campaign to build “100% drug-free communes and wards”
LCP - On the morning of April 7, 2026, at Sa Pa No.1 High School, the Lao Cai Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with the Vietnam Youth Federation of Lao Cai Province, held a ceremony to launch the contest “Lao Cai Youth say no to drugs,” while also kicking off a campaign in response to the goal of building 100% drug-free communes and wards.
The program attracted around 700 youth union members participating directly and was livestreamed to 98 communes and wards across the province. At the event, 99 models of “Youth Clubs Against Drugs” were simultaneously introduced, helping to strongly spread anti-drug messages within the community.
Decisions were presented to establish and launch the Youth Club Against Drugs in Sa Pa Ward, along with similar clubs in 98 other communes and wards.
Through the program, the Lao Cai Provincial Youth Union called on young people to uphold their pioneering role, proactively say no to drugs, and actively engage in awareness-raising efforts. These actions aim to contribute to building a safe and healthy living environment, striving toward the goal of 100% drug-free communes and wards in 2026.
