Lao Cai participated in the First Spring Fair in 2026
This is a national-scale trade promotion event, chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, bringing together numerous localities and domestic and foreign businesses to showcase and introduce products, connect with trading partners, and stimulate consumer demand at the beginning of spring.
Many medicinal products from Lao Cai will be displayed at the Fair.
The group of CaCO₃ mineral products from Lao Cai province is expected to be displayed and introduced at the fair, affirming the strengths of the mining industry and the potential for developing construction materials in the locality.
Participating in the fair, Lao Cai province set up its own exhibition area of approximately 200 m², located in the "Springtime in the Homeland - Products from Around the World" section, with the theme "Lao Cai - Connecting and Developing".
The booth was designed with an open, modern space, clearly showcasing Lao Cai's position as an international trade gateway on the Kunming - Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh economic corridor.
Lao Cai province is showcasing and introducing a diverse range of typical products and local strengths, such as: industrial and mineral products (including CaCO₃ stone, crushed stone, powdered stone, electrical insulators); Nano plastic sheets, PVC sheets; plantation timber products, copper sheets and various ores; processed agricultural products (products from tea, cinnamon, cassava vermicelli, rice, chili sauce, shiitake mushrooms, characteristic wines, etc.); medicinal products; handicraft products, etc.
In addition to displaying products, the Lao Cai booth also introduced trade promotion, import-export, investment attraction, and tourism promotion materials; and screened videos showcasing the province's industrial and agricultural potential, investment promotion, and tourism. Particularly noteworthy was the tea tasting experience area, directly organized by tea-producing and trading businesses and cooperatives in the province, which added a highlight and increased the booth's appeal.
Through participating in the fair, Lao Cai province hopes to expand its product market, strengthen production-consumption linkages, seek investment partners, and promote the image of its land, people, and economic and tourism development potential to a wide range of domestic and international consumers and partners.
