LCP - According to Lao Cai Department of Education and Training, the third subject in the entrance exam for 10th grade high school, academic year 2026-2027.
Foreign Language will be the third subject in the entrance exam for 10th grade high school in the 2026 - 2027 academic year; students can choose one of two subjects: English or Chinese.
The exam is in multiple-choice format; the time allotted is 60 minutes.
The exam consists of questions that are consistent with the learning objectives of the subject and the goals of the 2018 General Education Program (grades 6 to 9) issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Schools are actively disseminating information about exam subjects to parents and students.
The remaining two subjects are Literature and Mathematics. Literature is an essay-based exam lasting 120 minutes, while Mathematics is a multiple-choice exam lasting 90 minutes. The exam content is based on the lower secondary education curriculum, primarily focusing on the 9th grade curriculum.
All three subjects are graded on a 10-point scale.
