Bac Ha commune promotes comprehensive digital economic development
LCP - During the 2026 - 2030 period, Bac Ha commune has identified the strong development of the digital economy as a key objective, with commodity-based agricultural production and tourism services serving as its two strategic pillars.
The commune will focus on digitizing the entire value chain of local specialty products such as Tam Hoa plums, Shan Tuyet tea, and valuable medicinal herbs, while accelerating the application of technology in the management and promotion of community-based tourism.

One of the highlights of the plan is the development of the digital economy in agriculture and rural tourism. Bac Ha commune will participate in high-tech and IoT-based agricultural programs, while building “Digital Agricultural Cooperative” and “Digital Agricultural Village” models. The commune also plans to apply mobile-based production management software and QR code traceability systems for key local products, including tea, honey, Seng Cu rice, medicinal herbs, and cinnamon essential oil.
The commune will coordinate with the provincial post office and ViettelPost to support bringing 100% of OCOP products onto e-commerce platforms such as Postmart and Voso. Residents will also receive assistance in product photography, digital profile creation, and online promotion. Bac Ha aims to establish at least five “Typical Digital Business Household” models associated with digital agriculture, community tourism, and service activities.
In the tourism and trade-service sectors, Bac Ha will implement a digital community tourism model featuring QR codes at tourist destinations, digital maps, virtual tour guides, and information platforms serving visitors.
Commercial activities at the commune’s central market, accommodation facilities, and food service establishments will gradually be digitized through cashless payment systems and electronic business registration.
Each year, the commune will organize training courses on online business skills and e-commerce for young people, women, and local business households.
